Law Graduate at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) [Metropolitan Autonomous University] where he also studied the diploma courses “Industry facing compliance with Environmental Regulations” and “Penal Justice”. He concluded the Masters in Legal Teaching and Research at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México (UAEM) [State of Mexico Autonomous University]. He is Professor of Ecological Law at Universidad La Salle [La Salle University] and at the Environmental Law Specialty at Universidad Panamericana [Pan-American University]. From 1992 to 2000 he worked at the Environment, Natural Resources and Fishing Secretariat (SEMARNAP), assigned to the Legal General Office of the Federal Office for Environmental Protection (PROFEPA), where he held several positions, Head of the Department for Penal and Labor Affairs; Deputy Director for Litigious Matters, coordinating the Departments of Relief and Nullity Proceedings, Review Appeals and Penal Affairs; Director of Administrative Procedures, where he was responsible for the counseling and training of the PROFEPA Central Units and the Delegations in the proceedings of their administrative procedures and was directly involved in relevant cases in industrial, environmental impact, forest, fisheries, wildlife, federal maritime-land area affairs, and highways, ports, airports and borders.

Until 2009 he was a partner in the law firm Vera, Carvajal and Sosa, S.C. In 2010 he founded the first Firm specialized in environmental matters with interdisciplinary Partners, now Sosa, Corona, del Villar, S.C. “Law and Sustainable Businesses”.

He has taken part in different conferences, seminars, providing training to Central PROFEPA Delegations and Offices through Regional Workshops, as well as companies from the Private Sector. Co-author of the book “Mexican Environmental Law”, Ed. UAM, 1994. He has been a member of the Mexican Bar Association since 2004.
