Graduated in Biology from the School of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics of the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán, he completed a Master's in Environmental Management graduated from the Universidad Marista de Mérida, has several diplomas, among them in Agribusiness taught by the same University, as well as an International Diploma in Comprehensive Coastal Zone Management taught by the University Center of the South Coast of the Universidad de Guadalajara.
He has worked in the Secretaría de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales in Yucatán (Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources), as Subdelegate of Management for Environmental Protection and Natural Resources; as well as Deputy Delegate of Planning and Sector Development, he was Head of the Environmental Planning and Policy Unit, Head of the Department of Statistics and Informatics. In the Secretaría de Ecología, in Yucatán (Secretary of Ecology), he was Head of the Department of Conservation and Biodiversity. And in the Secretaría de Pesca, in Yucatán (Secretary of Fisheries), he was Head of the Aquaculture Department.
He has extensive experience in Environmental Impact Assessment and Project Development in Coastal Zones, as well as in Beach Recovery and Coastal Erosion Projects. He has been a Speaker in various forums of Environmental Impact Assessment, Federal Maritime Terrestrial Zone, Wildlife, and so on.
